How to Transfer from X and Y to ORAS
Players can transfer Pokemon using either the trade or can transfer via Pokemon Bank. However, there are limitations to certain X and Y and ORAS Pokemon.
Trading Pokemon X and Y to Pokemon ORAS
Trading between Pokemon X and Y and ORAS is simple and there will not be any problems. But it is when players trade from ORAS to X and Y that issues can crop up. Below are some points that players need to know.
- Mega Stones that were introduced in ORAS cannot be traded over to X and Y.
- Items in general that were exclusive to ORAS cannot be transferred to X and Y.
- Pokémon who have a move that was introduced in ORAS cannot be traded.
- Cosplay Pikachu will not be able to trade to X and Y.
Check out the chart from Serebii.
Transferring Pokemon via Pokeback
PokeBank allows players to store Pokemon from various other games in its server from where they can be transferred to other games. But but kind of Pokemon will not be allowed to hold an item when deposited in the PokeBank.
Players having both the games i.e. Pokemon X and Y and Pokemon ORAS can use PokeBank to transfer Pokemon from each other.
Nintendo had introduced a new patch to PokeBank that allows Pokemon with attacks and abilitites in ORAS to be deposited in PokeBank, but Cosplay Pikachu is excluded from this, reports iDigitalTimes.
