Until now, it was rumoured that the much-expected Pokemon Go Generation 2 aka Pokemon Go Gen 2 would be released on December 7 or December 8, but going by what Niantic has officially hinted, it seems that Gen 2 will surface on December 12. The latest reports sound promising considering the fact that they indicate something concrete rather than mere hearsay.
Now, Niantic has clearly hinted at the arrival of more Pokemons; these are slated to come to the fore as early as next week (December 12 to be exact). As per a Forbes report, which quotes the Pokemon Company, there would be an announcement regarding the incorporation of greater Pokemons into the game, which is a clear indicator that the next-gen Pokemons would arrive during this event.
The above potential developments literally trashes earlier rumours that originated from Starbucks via somebody who claimed to be an employee of the organisation.
As of now, it is worth noting that Niantic's popular AR-based game is yet to even set foot in important economies such as India, China and South Korea. With the Pokemon Go Gen 2 now potentially set to be released on December 12, it seems highly unlikely that even the first-gen Pokemon Go would officially be made available in these markets.
