"Pokemon Go", the location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic, has become a global phenomenon since its release in July. It is one of the most used mobile apps with more than 130 million downloads. Niantic is yet to release the game in a majority of Asian and African countries, but has gone ahead with issuing some updates.
Here are the patch notes of the update 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS devices:
- Implemented Pokemon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokemon's attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokemon have the most potential for battle.
- We are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokemon Go.
- Minor bot fixes
The updates have been released at a time when fans are waiting for the game's release in India, China, Middle East and some countries in Africa. Many fear that the game might not be released in these countries. But previous statements from the company have indicated that it is working to have the game released in more countries.
Reports have emerged that suggest a decline in the Pokemon Go craze. We will have to wait and see if the company releases special events where players will be rewarded with rare Pokemon.
