"Pokemon Go" made its debut on July 6 and since then the game has made its way to only to 38 regions and despite its immense popularity, Nintendo and Niantic Labs seem to be slacking to release AR-game in newer regions.

Last region to get "Pokemon Go" was Hong Kong on July 24. Five days have passed by with no new announcements from the company so far.

Now a rumour has surfaced online that the "Pokemon Go" makers have decided to withhold the release of the AR-game in new markets.

Niantic is struggling to maintain the servers in the official regions and will not be launching "Pokemon Go" in new areas any time soon, The Bitbag reported.

The gaming company has even posted a job requirement ad related to sever infrastructure, on its official website.

"Create the server infrastructure to support our hosted AR/Geo platform underpinning projects such as Pokémon GO using Java and Google Cloud. You will work on real-time indexing, querying and aggregation problems at massive scales of hundreds of millions of events per day, all on a single, coherent world-wide instance shared by millions of users," reads the job description.

It has to be noted that "Pokemon Go" gaming app has been downloaded by more 75 million people and has surpassed Facebook in terms of time spent by users and it also beat Twitter's daily active users.

Furthermore, "Pokemon Go" also holds the record for most downloads in its first week, beating popular games like Color Switch, Slither.io, Candy Crush Jelly Saga and others.

With so many regions still yet to get "Pokemon Go", many impatient users, especially in Asia and South America, have installed the AR-game using APK file and also through VPN (Virtual Private Network) mode.

Due to increase in server requests from illegal regions, Niantic Labs and Nintendo partially geo-blocks select cities. To provide real-time geo-block status in Asia and South America, many AR-game fans have formed a Reddit thread –"Pokemon Go release status: Asia and South America". Check out the details below.
