In a rare royal hospitality extended to a visiting political head, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Queen Elizabeth at the Buckingham Palace for lunch on Friday.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also prepared to address thousands of his supporters at a mass rally at the iconic Wembley Stadium after his lunch with the Queen.
Her Highness Queen Elizabeth came to welcome PM Modi and both were seen having a casual chat before their lunch.
"Building on the bonds of history. PM @narendra Modi calls on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II," tweeted Vikas Swarup, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs.
Modi is set to receive a "rockstar" welcome from a 60,000 strong Indian diasporic crowd at Wembley stadium.
