Malayalam playback singer Radhika Thilak died on Sunday evening at a private hospital in Kochi, according to reports.
Aged 45, Radhika was reportedly hospitalised a few days ago after she was suffering from fever. She had also been diagnosed with cancer, for which has been undergoing treatment for about two years. Her funeral reportedly took place on Monday.
The singer, who has sung about 70 film songs, debuted with "Pulkkodithumbilum" song in the film "Sangha Gaanam" in 1989. Some of the popular films, in which she has worked, include "Ottayalpattalam", "Guru", "Kanmadam", "Ravanaprabhu" and "Pranayam".

Some of the most popular songs sung by Radhika include 'Maayamanchalil' ('Ottayal Pattalam' - 1991), 'Devasangeetham' ('Guru' - 1997), 'Manjakilyude Moolipattunde' (Kanmadam - 1998) and 'Kaithapoo Manamenthe' (Sneham - 1998)
She has also sung 200 light music songs and several devotional songs. She became popular in the 1990s through Doordarshan and Akashavani.

Radhika did her schooling at Chinmaya Vidyalaya and college in St Teresa's College in Ernakulam. Her family includes husband Suresh and daughter Devika, who is also a singer. Singers Sujatha and G Venugopal are her relatives.
