Capture all those adventures you haven't been able to until now with GoPro's action cameras. And if it is the pricing of GoPro Hero cameras concern you, this holiday season is bringing a reason not to worry.
GoPro slashed prices of its last year's Hero cameras, namely Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session, so users can save some cash by picking up one of those tiny cameras. In India, the Hero 5 Black is now priced at Rs 27,000 and the Hero 5 Session can be bought for Rs18,000. Originally launched at Rs 38,000 and Rs 29,500 a year ago, Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session's new pricing makes them appealing.
On Amazon, GoPro Hero 5 Session is still listed for Rs 24,999 and the Hero 5 Black costs Rs 28,296, which makes GoPro's official pricing worth considering.
"HERO5 Black and HERO5 Session set a new bar for photo and video capture when they were released in 2016. The cameras introduced many firsts for GoPro, including voice control, cloud connectivity, GPS and electronic image stabilization," GoPro said in a statement.
GoPro Hero 5 Black and Session were upgraded recently with the all-new Hero 6 Black and Fusion 360, but that doesn't make the older models obsolete. The Hero 6 Black costs Rs 45,000 in India, and for those who cannot afford it, the Hero 5 Black is a viable choice.
Complete with 4K video recording at 30fps, voice control, cloud connectivity to upload photos and videos, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and electronic image stabilization, the GoPro Hero 5 Black and Session are worthy contenders in the action camera race. Combine that with our favourite QuikStories, which allows you to create and share your moments in form of videos instantly, GoPro users get the best value.
GoPro Hero 5 Black features a 12MP lens with a 2-inch touchscreen that differentiates it from the Hero 5 Session. Both cameras are designed to be handled ruggedly and have 10m waterproofing without housing.
GoPro Her 5 Session comes without any display and has a 10MP lens to capture stills and videos, hence the low pricing for this model.
