The seller had initially uploaded the menu as royal memorabilia with bids starting from £499. However, the seller had to take down the items on sale after Pippa and James threatened to launch a legal action against the seller.
"Original Menus used during the wedding dinner of Pippa & James Mattews hosted in Bucklebury May 20th 2017. They are printed on thick paper and have a light green line on the edges, the names are handwritten. Pippa menu is a bit dirty of food on the left side James one is clean," the original advert read, according to the tabloid.
"They are genuine and original, actually used for the dinner. As you can see in the second picture that I found online they have the same stile of the invitation to the guests."
Pippa and James got married on Saturday, May 20, at St Mark's Church in Englefield. Pippa's nephew Prince George was the page boy, while her niece Princess Charlotte was her bridesmaid.
The wedding also saw several celebrities and royal family members, including Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry and Roger Federer and his wife Mirka. After the wedding at the church, the couple and the guest headed to the reception party in the evening at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury. Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle attended the reception in Bucklebury.
