Sai Dharam Tej-Regina Cassandra's "Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham" (PNLJ) has performed well in its opening weekend at the AP/Nizam box office.
"PNLJ" has minted ₹5.18 crore in its first weekend in India with Nizam contributing a major chunk of the collections by raking in ₹2 crore followed by Ceeded, which had fetched ₹95 lakh, according to Andhraboxoffice.
The romantic entertainer has surpassed the opening weekend collections of Naga Chaitanya's "Oka Laila Kosam", which had raked in approximately ₹5.07 crore. But, it failed to beat "Loukyam" figures amounting to ₹5.2 crore.
"PNLJ" hit the screens on 14 November and has received positive reviews from the critics. Although the film is a regular commercial entertainer, racy narration keeps the film entertaining, said the critics.
Sai Dharam won accolades for his acting and dancing skills and also stated that "PNLJ" is a promising launch for him. The audience also seems to have given thumbs up for the film, which is evident from its collections.
The film is expected to continue its good run and end the first week on a good note.
Directed by AS Ravi Kumar Chowdhary, "PNLJ" has Regina opposite Sai Dharam. The film also has Prakash Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Jagapathi Babu, Raghu Babu, Satya, JP and Chandramohan in supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Anoop Rubens and the cinematography is handled by Dasaradhi Sivendra.
The success of "PNLJ" should bring some relief to
Sai Dharam whose first film is yet to hit the screens. The actor's debut flick "Rey", directed YVS Chowdary, is lying in the cans for several months due to financial issues. The film was completed long ago and is yet to hit the screens.
With "PNLJ" faring well at the box office, financiers and buyers are showing interest in "Rey," reported 123telugu. The film is expected to see the light of day soon, but there is no official announcement regarding this.
