The worldwide box office collection of "Piku" has crossed the ₹100 crore mark. Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan starrer "Piku" has become the second film of the year to earn ₹100 crore.
The film, which was released in limited screens worldwide, has hit the century mark within 12 days of its box office run worldwide.
From domestic box office, the film earned approximately ₹60 crore till second Tuesday, which takes its gross total to more than ₹80 crore, according to trade website Koimoi.com.
And from overseas market it has earned $4.3 million (₹27.34 crore).
"#Piku is the BIGGEST HIT of 2015 in Overseas. Total till Sun: $ 4.3 million [₹ 27.34 cr]. FANTABULOUS!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
"#Piku [Week 2] Fri 3.10 cr, Sat 5.10 cr, Sun 6.40 cr, Mon 2.60 cr, Tue 2.20 cr. Grand total: ₹ 60.82 cr. India biz. SMASH HIT!" he added.
The gross worldwide collection of "Piku" now stands at over ₹107 crore. "Piku" is the third film of the year to cross the hit century mark, after Akshay Kumar's "Baby" and "Gabbar Is Back".
If it continues to run with the same pace, the net worldwide box office collection of "Piku" will also cross the ₹100 crore benchmark soon.
"Piku" is a family entertainer directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film, which has been appreciated by all, also features Moushumi Chatterjee and Balendra Singh in pivotal roles.
