Pictures of a baby girl went viral on social media as it was believed to be that of Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra's daughter Adira Chopra. However, the actress' spokesperson has said that Rani is not available on social media and the photos are fake.
"This is to inform you that Rani Mukerji is not on any social media platform and has never been. There are several fake accounts that keep cropping up. We would like to request you to not pay heed to them or the content they put up as it is all fake," Rani's spokesperson said in a statement to the Times of India.
One fake Instagram account on the name of Rani had earlier shared pictures of a baby girl saying that those are her daughter Adira's photos. The picture was captioned as "My biggest treasure #AdiraMommyLovesYou (meet my princess) [sic]."
The first picture was followed by a number of more photos of the baby girl with the caption, "Mommy can't get enough #MoreOfThePrincess (just letting you see more of this princess) [sic]."
As many believed the photos to be actually of Rani's daughter Adira, those became viral on internet in no time. Rani and Aditya had tied the knot in 2014 and were blessed with a baby girl in December 2015.
While the couple prefers to keep their personal lives extremely private, Uday Chopra had informed fans about the birth of Adira on Twitter. Later Rani and Aditya expressed their gratitude towards fans for the wishes in a joint statement.
