India is celebrating its 67th Republic Day on Tuesday. Like every year, large military parades were held in New Delhi, and traditional dance troupes from across the country gave a phenomenal performance on the occasion.
This year, French President François Hollande is the chief guest at the Republic Day parade, and French soldiers marched along with Indian troops in the parade.
The French president also attended a grand lunch, which also had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan as guests. Recently, the official Twitter account of the Presidency of the French Republic and the Elysee Palace shared a picture of the actress meeting French President François Hollande.
Rai received an invitation from François Richier, the Ambassador of France to India, and was representing Indian cinema at the do. The former Miss World looked gorgeous in her red saree at the event. However, there has been no report regarding Shah Rukh's arrival at the grand luncheon yet.
