The shooting of Kaatrin Mozhi commenced today with the simple ritual pooja in Chennai. Celebs like Suriya, Jyotika, Sivakumar, Dhananjayan, Radha Mohan, Editor Praveen KL, Manobala, Mohan Raman, PRO Johnson, Vidaarth and others graced the event. After playing a no-nonsense cop role in Naachiyaar, Actress Jyotika is all set to play a struggling housewife in Kaatrin Mozhi, a Tamil remake of Vidya Balan's Tumhari Sulu. The shooting of the movie is likely to begin after Jyothika wraps up her portions in Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

Kaatrin Mozhi is directed by Radha Mohan and produced by G Dhananjayan under BOFTA Media Works banner. Mahesh Muthusami will handle the cinematography of the film, while Praveen KL will edit the movie.
