PM Modi arrives in Rwanda on first leg of his three-nation Africa tour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a ceremonial reception upon his arrival in Rwanda on Monday. The Prime Minister was received by President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame. He is on a five-day, three-nation tour to Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa. This is first ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Rwanda. The Prime Minister later did a one-on-one meeting and delegation level talks with President Kagame. Prime Minister Modi is also expected to interact with the Indian community.

PM Modi arrives at Kigali, Rwanda
During the two-day visit in Uganda, Prime Minister Modi will call on Uganda President Yoweri Museveni and hold delegation level talks. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address Uganda's Parliament and the Indian diaspora.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. A number of agreements and MoUs in the areas of defence, trade, culture, agriculture and dairy cooperation are scheduled to be signed during the Prime Minister's visit, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
