Emmy winner Glenn Weiss shocks audience by proposing during speech
After bagging the Emmy for directing for a Variety Special, American producer and director, Glenn Weiss surprised the audience with a marriage proposal to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen live on stage. During his acceptance speech, Weiss took a moment to thank Svendsen for being the "sunshine" of his life and someone his late mother "adored". "You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife," said Weiss, driving audience crazy who couldn't stop cheering for the 'Peter Pan Live' director.

Svendsen joined Weiss on stage
After Svendsen joined Weiss on stage, the Emmy winner offered her a ring that his dad gave to his mom over 67 years ago, reported the Hollywood Reporter. "Jan, I want to put this ring that my mom wore on her finger in front of all these people and in front of my mom and your parents watching from above. Will you marry me?" he asked before an emotional Svendsen said "yes."
