Colombian Carnival of Blacks and Whites
More than 10,000 artisans and revelers take part in the Black and White Carnival, which has its origins in a mix of Andean, Amazonian and Pacific cultural expressions. It is celebrated every year from January 2 to 6 in the city of Pasto and has been on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage since 2009.
