Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer "Phantom" is all set to start its box office run with a bang. "Phantom" will be Kabir Khan's second directorial film this year after the blockbuster-hit film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The action drama, which has garnered good hype, has created curiosity among viewers with its trailer and songs. But there are few other reasons why the film is a must watch this Friday.
Check the five reasons below:
Plot: The film is an adaptation of author Hussain Zaidi's book Mumbai Avengers on post-26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism. The storyline on the terms of global terrorism has already let many wagging tongues do the talking.
Kabir Khan: He has given back-to-back blockbuster hit films, including "Ek Tha Tiger" and now "Bajrangi Bhajaan". With "Phantom", Kabir is back to the topic of terrorism. In "New York" movie, Kabir talked about global terrorism, and it garnered rave reviews from critics.
Locations: The film has been shot in various locations, including Lebanon, Syria, the UK, Canada and India. In India, the makers shot the film in Gulmarg and Punjab's Malerkotla. The director wanted to shoot some scenes across the border, but citing everyone's concerns, he decided to recreate Pakistan in Malerkotla in Punjab.
Lead Casts: This is for the first time Saif and Katrina have worked together in a movie and looking at the promos and songs one can say that they share incredible on-screen chemistry. Not only the lead pair, but also one cannot miss the film for its negative casts. "Phantom" features pivotal characters that have been named after David Headley, Sajid Mir, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.
Action: The film has been news for its jaw-dropping action scenes and in "Phantom" fans of Katrina will see her doing some hard-core action scenes. The film has four crucial action scenes, including Beirut action sequence, Punjab action scene, Canada scene and Kashmir scene.
