Xolo, a subsidary of Lava Mobiles known for its Intel powered smartphones, is reportedly planning to launch its first 5-inch smartphone 'A1000' this week.
Citing an unnamed source, NDTV revealed that the new 5-inch Xolo A100 sports an HD screen runs on the latest Android v4.1 OS Jelly Bean.

Taking note of the above specs, the Xolo A1000 smarphone makes a strong contender against Samsung's Galaxy Grand as well as Micromax's upcoming A116 Canvas HD.
Despite its expensive price tag of ₹21, 500, Galaxy Grand fares badly against both the Indian-made smartphones in terms of display resolution and a sub-par dual-core processor.
A116 Canvas HD shows-off superior specs compared to its rivals with an HD 720p LCD display and the latest Android Jelly Bean OS powered by a quad-core processor. The Indian smartphone maker has confirmed that its flagship smartphones would be sold around ₹15,000.
As per recent reports, both A116 Canvas HD and Xolo A1000 are expected to hit stores this week in India.
