Sun Pictures is clearly not ready to leave any chances in protecting the content of its forthcoming Tamil movie Petta, which stars Rajinikanth. The production house has taken massive measures to ensure that nothing is leaked from the sets.
The movie is currently being shot in Lucknow with over 500 people being involved in the shooting. So the production house has given strict guidelines to the supporting cast and crew to not carry mobile phones to the sets. Further, the scenes of the day will not be revealed in advance and it will be made known to people only on the particular day.
It is also reported that people with specific identity cards are allowed to be on the sets of Petta.
In the recent times, it is quite common to see pictures and videos from the sets being leaked online. The makers try to build a craze around the film and such leaks will not help their cause.
"The Lucknow police has deputed 25 constables along with a Circle Officer for Rajini sir's security. He will also be provided with a police escort for the entire duration of his stay in the state capital," Eiqbal Jaafri, the line producer of the film, is quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The shooting of the Rajinikanth-starrer commenced on Friday, September 7. The makers have planned to shoot the multilingual film in Lucknow for a month. A small portion will be shot in Varanasi and Sonbhadra.
On the other hand, the title, along with the first look poster of Petta, was announced last evening. The clip on YouTube has garnered over 13 lakh views.
Karthik Subbaraj's Petta has Simran and Trisha Krishnan in the leads.
