Several details regarding the fifth season of science fiction crime drama series "Person of Interest" were revealed during the TV Critics Association press tour.
Carrie Preston talked about some interesting details about season 5 of the series. She said during the press tour that she will be returning to the series after a gap of two seasons.
Previously, Preston played the character of Grace Hendricks, Harold Finch's (Michael Emerson) fiancée. She was last seen in the third season of the series. She explained that she will be reprising her role of Grace in season 5.
Preston, who is Emerson's real-life wife as well, shared the experience of doing a series with her husband. As reported by TV Insider, she said: "There's something special about looking in the eyes of your real-life husband and at the same time, you're looking in the eyes of this character. It's really fun to do that. He's really loved on that set; I have a bit of a wifely pride."
With the return of Preston, fans can expect the series to return to the small screen with an interesting storyline. Glenn Geller, head of CBS, also shared some information regarding how the fifth season will carry on. He assured the fans that they won't be disappointed with the new season.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Geller said: "We ordered 13 episodes, we hope to get them on this spring. That's what we're targeting right now. Show-runners Jonah Nolan and Greg Plageman have planned a terrific season. Can't wait for the fans of the show to see it. It'll be a real treat for viewers."
Though no official release date was confirmed by either Preston or Geller, season 5 of "Person of Interest" is expected to be aired in the summer of 2016.
