CBS' crime drama series "Person of Interest" is set to return next month with its fifth and final season. In the next season, the story will explore the much-speculated romantic relationship between Root (Amy Acker) and Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi).
According to Inquisitr, the upcoming season might be one of the most interesting and thrilling seasons of "Person of Interest," as The Machine's creator Harold Finch (Michael Emerson) and John Reese (Jim Cavaziel) will go on a mission to put an end to Samaritan, accompanied by the rest of "Team Machine." However, The Machine itself will not provide them any assistance this time.
Fans will also be delighted to know that the much talked-about romance between Root and Sameen will turn into a reality in Season 5, and a significant part of this season will revolve around their story. However, it has not yet been revealed how long they will be together.
Their relationship was first hinted at when Sameen was abducted by Decima Technologies. But Root never gave up hope and continued searching for her as she believed that Sameen was still there, despite what her team thought. Root's desperate attempts to rescue Sameen and save her from the claws of Decima Technologies proved how much she was in love with her.
In the upcoming season, Machine Team will try their best to put an end to Decima Technologies and their plans to dominate the world by manipulating Samaritan. Finch always feared that Decima Technologies will lose control of Samaritan and it will wreak havoc on the world. Hence, he urges the team to proceed fast.
Whether The Machine and other members of Team Machine will be able to stop the Decima Technologies and put an end to the Samaritan will be seen only once Season 5 of "Person of Interest" premieres May 3 on CBS.
