Season 5 of CBS' crime drama "Person of Interest" is all set to premiere this spring and one of the cast members, Jim Caviezel, has hinted that his character, John Reese, will go through some unexpected troubles in the upcoming season.
According to Christian Post, Caviezel said, in an interview with Yahoo! TV, that Reese will have a hard time to move on with Iris Campbell (Wrenn Schmidt) after he broke up with Detective Carter (Taraji P. Henson).
"You go back to Jessica; the possibility that he could have a real relationship – a second one. With Carter, he missed it and there's a great fear there," Caviezel said.
As reported by Parent Herald, fans will witness Reese's struggles and his fears in "Person of Interest" Season 5.
The website also stated that besides Reese, Harold Finch (Michael Emerson) will also go through his own struggles as revealed by Emerson himself.
Previously, Finch used to keep a distance from the Machine. However, in Season 5, he will eventually realise that he has become emotionally attached to the Machine after having a conversation with it.
According to Crossmap, Season 5 might be the final season of the series as there will be only 13 episodes in fifth season instead of the usual 22 episodes. The website has mentioned that the release date has been delayed too.
Originally slated for December, 2015 release, "Person of Interest" was excluded from the network's line up at that time. Afterwards, Glenn Geller, president of CBS, confirmed that Season 5 will get a spring premiere. However, no official date has been revealed yet.
An online petition has been launched at change.org by fans that demand "Person of Interest" to be picked up by Netflix, Hulu or CBS streaming. The petition has already gathered 25,000 signatures so far.
"Person of Interest" Season 5 will premiere on CBS this spring.
