Ever since Zayn Malik called off his two-year old engagement with Perrie Edwards, the "Little Mix" star has struggled to cope with their very public split. In fact, she even broke down during an event that marked the fourth anniversary of Little Mix.
But now, it looks like the "Little Me" singer has finally taken control of her own life as new reports suggest that she has blocked ex-fiancé Zayn Malik's number from her phone.
Zayn took the world by storm when he posted a picture with his new flame Carlyn Bryan, a California-based public relations executive, on his Instagram on 26 September.
We had reported earlier that fans freaked out about Carlyn being a Perrie lookalike. However, the latter said she wasn't affected because she knew Zayn did that to make her feel "jealous."
A recent article claimed that Zayn sent many apologetic texts for posting the picture.
Furthermore, the former One Direction singer said that he misses her and asked if they could give a shot at being friends, according to a report by Sugarscape.
A source close to Perrie said, "Zayn was trying to antagonise her, an hour after he had posted the picture he messaged her and said, 'Sorry if that offended you – it's not what it seems.'"
The source further stated that Perrie found the message to be "ridiculous" as she "hadn't even asked about the picture" because she thinks "they're both free agents."
Although Perrie attempted to remain silent on her split with Zayn, she is reportedly "tired of him taunting her and trying to make her jealous."
However, no matter how strong a woman Perrie is, "she struggles every time Zayn pulls a stunt like this – it starts affecting her mood, her ability to sleep, and even her eating patterns," revealed the source.
But now, with the support she has received from her friends, "she's taken the drastic action of blocking his number on her phone. She's done getting roped into text tennis with him."
This comes after Perrie was recently pictured enjoying nightouts with her stylist BFF Aaron Carlo and getting cosy with "new friend" model Michael Mathers. She has also mentioned about having "an absolute blast" in her single life.
Blocking Zayn sure is a sign of the "Move" hitmaker trying to put an end to the ongoing saga of her and Zayn's break-up, which started after the latter dumped her in a text message in July.
