Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards shocked their fans when they called off their two-year old engagement in July. However, while Zayn seemed to move on, posting a picture with a 'new girl', Perrie might still be looking to mend their relationship.
Yesterday, "Little Mix" dropped the music video of their new single "Love Me Like You" and the fans were quick to recognise Perrie's engagement ring still on her finger. This comes as a big surprise because her relationship with Zayn ended two months earlier.
But, is flashing the ring a sign of Perrie hoping to work things out with the ex one-directioner?
It turns out that the video was shot six months before when Zayn and Perrie were still together, according to TMZ. Sources revealed that she didn't take off the ring while filming because they were too much in love.
In fact, 11 weeks ago when the couple didn't yet split, the video's choreographer Chris Downey posted a picture of him with the four-piece girl band that looked to be taken after the dance rehearsals.
Moreover, the newly engaged member Jesy Nelson, 24 was also seen without her heart-shaped engagement ring in the music video. Therefore, it further proved that the video was filmed several months before.
The twist comes off only a few days after Zayn showed off his new flame to the whole world. On 26 September, he posted a shirtless picture of him snuggling with Carlyn Bryan; a California-based public relations executive.
However, while directioners freaked out about Bryan being a Perrie lookalike, the "Black Magic" singer said that she isn't "wasting anymore tears" on her ex because she knows he is only doing this to make her jealous. She even talked about enjoying her single life to the point of having "a bit of banter" with guys in nightclubs.
