Muzaffarabad, June 30: These protesters are officials of various government departments like health, education and the Public Works Department in Azad Kashmir, who are demanding equal rights. Victims of discrimination for years, they have been demanding a hike in salaries and timely promotion. In 2009, a notification was issued to health workers in Azad Kashmir with a promise to give salaries equivalent to what employees in Punjab province are getting.
