People's Star R Narayana Murthy will release the newly-included special song 'Pawanism' from Sai Dharam Tej's forthcoming film "Rey" at 6.00 pm on Tuesday, 17 March.
The special song 'Pawanism' is being released as a tribute to Pawan Kalyan. Musician Chakri, who recently died of heart attack, had scored the music for the song, lyrics for which have been written by Chandrabose.
"It's going to be on the lines of 'Lungi Dance' in Chennai Express and we are going to unveil this energetic song in a grand function that'll be held on March 14," The Times of India quoted director YVS Chowdary as saying.
But its launch function was postponed to 17 March for unknown reasons. The makers are holding the grand function in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening. R Narayana Murthy will reportedly be the chief guest at the event. The revolutionary filmmaker will launch the special song 'Pawanism'.
R Narayana Murthy is known for his pro-people attitude and anti-capitalist sentiments. He does not endorse mainstream commercial cinema. He recently turned down Puri Jagannath's offer to feature in Junior NTR's "Temper". He does not attend any event of commercial movies. So the news about him releasing the song has surprised many in the Telugu film industry.
Industry sources say R Narayana Murthy has the highest regard for the integrity and values of Pawan Kalyan. He shares many of the ideals propogated by the latter through his political outfit Jana Sena. That's why the revolutionary filmmaker has agreed to attend the launch of the song 'Pawanism'.
"Rey" has five songs composed by late music director Chakri and 'Pawanism' is the latest addition to the album. The audio album, which was launched at a grand function in Hyderabad in January, got good response from music lovers. The film is slated to be released in theatres on 27 March.
