Pawan Kumar's forthcoming movie "U Turn" is all set to have a world premiere on May 8 in New York. The interesting part of the story is the tickets of the Kannada movie have been completely sold out, thereby leading the makers to plan for a few more shows.
"Bangalore Premiere on 19th is SOLD OUT too.... we are trying to add few more shows both in New York and in Bangalore, [sic]" Pawan Kumar posted on his Facebook page. The director and his team members are already in the U.S. for the special show.
Pawan Kumar shot to fame with "Lucia," which got him recognition from all across the globe. As a result, his latest movie, with almost no publicity, has managed to draw people's attention.
The movie will release in India on May 20 and Pawan Kumar is organising a premiere in Bengaluru a day before its release. But the audience have to buy "U Turn" t-shirts, exclusively designed as part of the movie promotions, in order to be part of the show.
Pawan Kumar wrote: "Buy T shirt... wear it and come to the bangalore premiere show on may 19th 6pm onwards. Venue and other details will be shared along with the T shirt. 100+ t shirts bought in last 2 hours. [sic]"
The upcoming Kannada movie is a mystery thriller that has Shraddha Srinath and Dilip Raj in the lead. Roger Narayan, Skanda, Krishna, Pavan, Naveen, Divya, Pramod, Aarna, Kennedy and others are in the cast.
"U Turn," which has been made under Pawan Kumar's newly-launched banner PK Studios, has Poornachandra Tejaswi's music, Satya Hegde, Advitha Gurumurthy and Siddharth Nuni's cinematography, and Suresh's editing.
