"Lucia"-fame Pawan Kumar's much-awaited film "U-Turn" has bagged a "U/A" certificate from the censor board. The members of the regional censor board have cleared the Kannada movie without any cuts or objections over its content, the director said on his Facebook.
"U-Turn" is the second venture of Pawan Kumar after his hit film "Lucia." The upcoming Kannada movie will hit the screens in May and will be premiered at the New York International Film Festival May 8.
"'U Turn World Premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival 2016 on May 8th. After having Lucia premiered in London.... I am super happy to have U Turn in New York. Looking forward to meeting all Kannada film buffs in New york on May 8th, [sic]" Pawan Kumar posted on his Facebook page.
The upcoming Kannada movie is a mystery thriller, which has Shraddha Srinath and Dilip Raj in the lead. Roger Narayan, Skanda, Krishna, Pavan, Naveen, Divya, Pramod, Aarna, Kennedy and others are in the cast.
The film has generated a lot of curiosity in the minds of the audience with its brilliant trailer. Tamil and Telugu actress Samantha has shown interest towards remaking "U Turn" in other languages, and some reports say she has already acquired the rights. This development has doubled the viewers' expectations from the flick.
"U Turn," which has been made under Pawan Kumar's newly-launched banner PK Studios, has Poornachandra Tejaswi's music, Satya Hegde, Advitha Gurumurthy and Siddharth Nuni's cinematography, and Suresh's editing.
