Pawan Kalyan's latest Telugu movie has been launched on Tuesday, 11 October, on the auspicious day of Vijayadashami. The upcoming movie is said to be the remake of hit Tamil movie Vedalam.
The upcoming movie was formally launched with a pooja. It was a simple event which was attended by a few members from the technical team. Pawan Kalyan was spotted wearing a traditional dhoti with a white shirt.
RT Nesan, who had earlier directed Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Mohanlal's Jilla, is directing the Pawan Kalyan-starrer. A M Rathnam, who had produced Vedalam, is reportedly remaking it in Telugu. It may be recalled that the producer had earlier bankrolled the Power Star's blockbuster film Kushi way back in 2001. Other details about the project are under wraps.
Vedalam starred Ajith in the lead role with Shruti Haasan playing his love interest. Lakshmi Menon had played the hero's sister, while Kabir Duhan Singh had played the role of baddie. It was a revenge drama, which was written and directed by Siruthai Siva.
On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan is busy with Katamarayudu, which is directed by Dolly aka Kishore Kumar Pardasani and produced by Sharrath Marar on the banner of Northstar Entertainment. He has also signed Trivikram Srinivas' next film Devude Digivachina.
