Pawan Kalyan's upcoming movie "Katamarayudu" will hit the floors on Sept. 20. The power star and actress Shruti Haasan are said to be joining the film unit for the shoot four days later.
Pawan Kalyan, who is touring Andhra Pradesh to demand special status for the state, is now planning to take a break from his political schedule to focus on his next film. He is expected to start shooting for "Katamarayudu" in the third week of this month. Jalapathy Gudelli tweeted: "Pawan Kalyan's #Katamarayudu begins regular shoot from 20th September. Powerstar joins the shoot from 24th."
Meanwhile, a source from the team of "Katamarayudu" has confirmed to IANS that the principal shooting will start on Sept. 20 in Hyderabad.
Actress Shruti Haasan has been signed up to play the female lead in "Katamarayudu." She had given her dates for the movie in July and had been waiting for the commencement of the shoot. The actress was thinking of walking out of the film had the makers not decided on the shooting schedule. She is now relieved and will join the team on Sept. 24.
"Katamarayudu" is said to be an official remake of Ajith's Tamil movie, "Veeram." Director Dolly aka Kishore Kumar Pardasani is once again teaming up with Pawan Kalyan after "Gopala Gopala." Besides acting, the power star is also producing the film with his friend Sharrath Marar under the banner Northstar Entertainments. Anup Rubens has been brought on board to compose the music for the movie.
Sharrath Marar revealed the title and logo of "Katamarayudu" as a birthday gift to Pawan Kalyan. The producer tweeted on Sept. 1: "On the eve of #PSPK @PawanKalyan's birthday Northstar Entertainment proudly announces the title of d film under production as 'Katamarayudu.' #Katamarayudu title poster will be released post midnight celebrating #PSPK birthday!!"
