Pawan Kalyan's "Gabbar Singh 2" is all set to commence in October. Earlier there were rumours doing the rounds that the Kalyan starrer had been shelved, but, much to the excitement of the fans, the film is still on cards.
The film's pre-production work is almost complete and its script is also ready, reported Deccan Chronicle. The film's shooting will start in October after the actor completes his current project "Gopala Gopala."
"We are going to start shooting from the second week of October," the daily quoted "Gabbar Singh 2" producer Sharath Marar.
Directed by Sampath Nandi, "Gabbar Singh 2" will apparently be the second film in the "Gabbar Singh" franchise.
The film was launched in 2013, but the shooting did not commence as Kalyan was busy with his political commitments. The actor launched his political party Jana Sena and was involved in campaigning during the 2014 elections.
Now that the polls are over, the actor has shifted his focus to his film career. He is currently busy shooting for "Gopala Gopala", the Telugu remake of critically-acclaimed Hindi satirical drama "Oh My God."
Directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasany, "Gopala Gopala" will have the actor appearing in the role of lord Krishna. He is co-starring with Venkatesh, who will reprise the role of Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal in the original version. "Manam" actor Shriya Saran, Mithun Chakraborty, Posani Krishna Murali, Krishnudu, Raghu Babu and Vennela Kishore are also a part of the film's cast.
Kalyan has reportedly allotted 22 days for the project, which is being shot at Rama Naidu studio, Nanakramguda, reported DC.
The film's music is composed by Anoop Rubens and cinematography is handled by Jayanan Vincent. The film's first look is expected to be released for Krishna Janmashtami on 16 August. The makers are planning to release the film in January 2015 for Sankranti, reported the Times of India.
Kalyan, after completing his portions for "Gopala Gopala", will be focusing on "Gabbar Singh 2." The makers are yet to finalise on the film's female lead. The music will reportedly be composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Details about the other cast and crew members are expected to be revealed soon.
