The much-awaited Pawan Kalyan's "Gabbar Singh 2" is all set to go on floors in December.
Anisha Ambrose, who made her debut in "Alias Janaki," has been roped in to play the female lead opposite the power star. The Telugu-speaking actress was chosen after several rounds of audition.
"#Gabbarsingh2 all set to roll in December. Story conceived by #Pawankalyan. K.Ravindra (Bobby) to direct. Anisha Ambrose is the Heroine," producer Sharath Marar, a friend and close associate of Pawan Kalyan, tweeted.
The film will also have Bramhanandam, Ali and Narra Srinu, while more people will be added to the cast in the coming days. Pawan's favourite "Antakshari" gang will also be part of "Gabbar Singh 2."
The film will be a complete commercial entertainer with loads of action, romance and humour. It will neither be a prequel nor a sequel to the 2012-blockbuster "Gabbar Singh" and will have a fresh story instead.
"Gabbar Singh 2, with no resemblance to either Dabangg or Gabbar Singh, would be a wholesome entertainer and will turn out to be yet another independent and entertaining film," stated a press release.
Earlier, Sampath Nandi was roped in to helm the project, but it was getting delayed as Pawan was busy with his other commitments including his political foray. Nandi has moved on and has announced his next project with Ravi Teja, while "Power" director KS Ravindra (aka Bobby) will be directing "Gabbar Singh 2." Pawan has conceived the story of "Gabbar Singh 2" and it is expected to be as entertaining as "Gabbar Singh."
