Pawan Kalyan's new film "Gabbar Singh 2" is reportedly set to go on floors in December.
With "Attarintiki Daredi" running successfully in theatres, speculation about Pawan's next film seem to be on the rise. It is already known that Pawan will be doing a sequel to his 2012-blockbuster "Gabbar Singh."
Apparently, the production work on "Gabbar Singh 2" will kick-off in December, reported Indiaglitz. The film, directed by Sampath Nandi of "Racha" fame, is said to be in scripting stage. The action-packed entertainer will be produced by Sharath Marar, a friend of Pawan.
While Pawan has been confirmed to play the male lead, details about the female lead actress, other cast members and technicians are yet to be announced.
"Gabbar Singh" was a remake of Salman Khan's Bollywood film "Dabangg." The Hindi version's sequel titled "Dabangg 2" released last year and went on to become a massive hit. However, "Gabbar Singh 2" will not be a remake of the Hindi sequel but will instead be a direct Telugu flick.
Pawan has been on a roll following the success of three films in a row including "Gabbar Singh" (GS), "Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu" and the recently-released "Attarintiki Daredi" (AD). Of the three, "GS" and "AD" have turned out to be blockbusters. Pawan has achieved a rare feat of having two major hits in consecutive years. Now, all eyes will be on "Gabbar Singh 2."
It remains to be seen if the film will be able to re-create the "GS", "AD" magic and turns out to be a money spinner at the box office.
