Here is good news for Pawan Kalyan fans.
Power Star's blockbuster flick "Attarintiki Daredi" (aka "Atharintiki Daredi") is gearing up to make its Television debut for Sankranti in January 2014.
Telugu channel MAA TV, which has bought the Television rights of "Attarintiki Daredi" for a whopping amount, will be screening the film on 11 January.
Interestingly, Ram Charan's "Yevadu" is releasing on 12 January. Mega fans will be having a double treat during Sankranti as they get to watch films of two big stars from the Mega family.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, "Attarintiki Daredi" is about Gowtham (Pawan Kalyan) who is on a mission to unite his aunt with his grandfather. The film has Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Praneetha Subash as the female leads. The other cast members include Nadiya, Rao Ramesh, Brahmanandam and Bollywood actor Boman Irani.
The family entertainer is one of the biggest hits of 2013. The film turned out to be a huge blockbuster, despite facing release and piracy issues. While some trade experts claim that "Attarintiki Daredi" has surpassed "Magadheera" (touted to be highest grossing Telugu film) collections, others have denied it.
However, "Attarintiki Daredi" has remained to be the biggest grosser of 2013, when compared to other releases. The film took a massive opening after it hit the screens on 27 September.
The family entertainer received great feedback from critics as well as the audience. The film's performance was fantastic not just in India, but also in the US. It smashed several records in the country set by other Telugu films and even performed better than some of the biggest Bollywood hits.
The Pawan starrer successfully completed 50 days at the box office. Thanks to the amazing response from fans, the makers of "Attarintiki Daredi" added a few scenes in the film as a Diwali treat. Going by the film's performance during its theatrical run, it is expected to receive good TRPs when it is premiered on TV for the first time.
So far, big Telugu films including "Maghadeera", "Eega" and "Robot" have registered high TRPs upon its TV debut, reported 123telugu. It remains to be seen if "Attarintiki Daredi" will break that record and emerge as a big winner on TV as well.
