The release date of Pawan Kalyan's "Atharintiki Daaredi" has been pushed further and the film will hit the theatres on 9 August (Eid).
Earlier, it was announced that the film will have a grand release on 7 August. The makers of the Pawan starrer have now confirmed that the film will be screened from 9 August.
It is not clear as to why the makers delayed the release. But, rumours are rife that they had to give into pressures due to the political situation in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Some parties have reportedly said that they would not allow Mega films to be screened, reported Indiaglitz.com.
"Atharintiki Daaredi" has received a "U" certificate from the censor board and the film will have a solo big release on 9 August. However, the family entertainer is all set for a big clash at the overseas markets as two other films of big stars are releasing on the same date.
Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" is all set to have a grand worldwide release on 9 August. It has to be remembered the film's release date, which was initially set for 8 August, was pushed by a day.
On the other hand, Tamil actor Vijay's most-awaited film "Thalaivaa" will also make it to the theatres on 9 August. The Telugu dubbed version of the film titled "Anna Born to Lead" is expected to release simultaneously with the Tamil version.
While these three films will likely have a good opening at the domestic box office, they are set for a big clash at the overseas markets.
Confirming the news, senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "Biggest clash of the decade in overseas - SRK's #ChennaiExpress v/s Pawan Kalyan's #AtharintikiDaredi v/s Vijay's #Thalaivaa. Release Aug 9."
All the three films are said to be commercial entertainers that will satisfy the expectations of their fans.
