Power Star Pawan Kalyan made the first day of 2015 a memorable one for his fans by joining micro-blogging site Twitter.
The actor posted his new year wishes from his twitter handle @pawankalyan. "Wishing you all a very Happy New Year !Peace and Good Health," Pawan tweeted.
Within hours, scores of fans started following the Power Star's twitter handle, which has been officially verified. So far, he has over 63K followers, while the actor is not following anybody as of now.
There are many social networking pages run by Pawan's fans, but this is the first time that the actor himself has made his presence felt on an online platform. Several fans and celebrities have expressed happiness and surprise over Pawan joining Twitter.

Pawan Kayan, who began his film career in 1996, rose to fame with several hits, including "Tholi Prema," "Kushi," "Gabbar Singh" and "Attarintiki Daaredi" among others. In 2014, the actor joined politics and started his new party named "Jana Sena." With busy political commitments, Pawan did not have any film release in 2014.
The actor is currently working in "Gopala Gopala," the Telugu remake of Hindi film "Oh My God." The film is all set to hit the screens during Sankranti festival.
