"Power Star" Pawan Kalyan, who took a break from shooting films owing to the general elections, is expected to commence his work for the Telugu remake of the Hindi film "Oh My God" soon.

Pawan Kalyan will reportedly play the role of God, while Venkatesh will reprise Paresh Rawal's character in the remake. The power star is expected to complete the film by September and move on to his next project – the much-awaited "Gabbar Singh 2."

The film, to be directed by Sampath Nandi, was launched a few months ago. However, the shooting is yet to commence as Pawan Kalyan, who floated his political party "Jana Sena," was busy with the election duties. Now that the Lok Sabha polls are over, the actor will soon shift his focus to his film career.

The shooting of "Gabbar Singh 2" is likely to commence after Pawan Kalyan wraps up "Oh My God Remake." The actor's 2012-release "Gabbar Singh" (remake of "Dabangg") turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. Fans have been eagerly waiting for another film in the franchise.

The Pawan Kalyan-Sampath Nandi project will not be the film's sequel and will have a fresh script. The details about the film's cast and crew are yet to be revealed. Apparently, the makers have not yet zeroed in on the female lead for the project.

Several Bollywood names including Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonam Kapoor were doing the rounds for the female lead of this upcoming flick. Actors Pranitha and Rakul Preet Singh's names were also speculated. But, the makers did not confirm signing up any of these actors to play the female lead.

Now, latest buzz is that Miss India World 2013 Navneet Kaur Dhillon will be romancing the power star in "Gabbar Singh 2." Rumours are rife that Pawan Kalyan has finalised Dhillon as the female lead for the cop saga, reported Gulte. However, there is no official word in this regard.

If the speculations turn out to be true, then it will be the second time that the power star will romance a Miss India. Earlier, he had shared screen space with Miss India 2007 Sarah-Jane Dias in the action drama "Panjaa."
