Kerala's movie lovers are eagerly waiting for Thursday, 24 September, as the most awaited films of their three favourite heroes are set to hit theatres on the day.
Megastar Mammootty's "Pathemari", Dileep's "Life of Josutty" and Asif Ali's "Kohinoor" are set to lock horns at the Malayalam box office.
Latest Update: Mammootty's 'Pathemari' release date postponed
"Pathemari" and "Life of Josutty" will be released worldwide by Eros International and this is the first time that the company has decided to release two big projects on the same day.

Trade in Kerala surprised by #Eros's decision 2 release both their Malayalam films on same day. No producer has ever done it before," trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai tweeted on Monday.

"Pathemari"
Helmed by Salim Ahamed, "Pathemari" narrates the story of Keralite immigrants in the Gulf countries. While the music of the flick has been composed by Bijibal, Oscar winner Resul Pookutty has handled the sound recording of "Pathemari". The film also has Jewel Mary, Sreenivasan, Salim Kumar, Balachandra Menon, Joy Mathew, Yavanika Gopalakrishnan and Shaheen Siddique in main roles.

Life of Josutty
After hit thriller films "Drishyam" and "Papanasam", it seems like director Jeethu Joseph is all set to create a box office record with his upcoming film, "Life of Josutty". It is a film with "no twist and suspense". The film talks about 30 years in the life of Josutty. It is Dileep-Jeethu team's second project. They had previously worked in comedy hit film "My Boss" in 2012. "Life of Josutty" also has Rachana Narayanankutty, Jyothi Krishna, Aqsa Bhatt, Suraj Venjarammoodu and Sunil Sukhada in pivotal roles.

Kohinoor
The heist film, set in the 1980's, is the debut production venture of actor Asif Ali, who will be seen in the lead role. Helmed by Vinay Govind, "Kohinoor" is also one of the most expected Malayalam films of the year. The film also has Indrajith Sukumaran, Aparna Vinod, Aju Varghese, Chemban Vinod, Vinay Forrt and Bhavana in pivotal roles.
