Even as the police is investigating four women's allegations of sexual assault against K-pop star Park Yoochun, he has slapped a case against one of his alleged victims. According to the latest news, the JYJ band member has sued 24-year-old Ms. Lee for "blackmail" and "false accusations."
On the afternoon of Monday, June 20, Yoochun's lawyers at Shin & Kim in Seoul filed a case against Ms. Lee, who was the first to report on her horrific experience with the "Three Days" star. Yoochun's lawyers pursued legal action even after she withdrew her statement.
A Soompi article reported that Yoochun's team of lawyers is looking to sue the other women who have made similar claims against the actor/singer.
In the past week, four women have come forward with shocking details of their meeting with Yoochun, who allegedly assaulted them in various nightclubs' restrooms. In response, Yoochun's agency, C-JeS Entertainment stated that they would file charges against the women for spreading malicious rumours about the K-pop star.
Meanwhile, the police is investigating the case and in a recent update, the law enforcement body said that it has found male DNA evidence in the first complainant's underwear. According to Soompi, the police hasn't verified if the DNA belongs to Yoochun.
"Police believe that if the DNA does turn out to be Park Yoochun's, it will provide insight and help them determine whether the sexual relations with the first individual was a case of sexual assault or prostitution," the article stated.
Yoochun, 30, debuted in 2003 with K-pop band TVXQ. He became a household name after he appeared in popular K-Dramas such as "Miss Ripley," "The Girl who Sees Smells" and "Missing You."
