Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, is not happy with recent reports claiming that her family was planning an intervention for her.
Rumours of an intervention started doing the rounds after Paris was photographed carrying beer alongside her new boyfriend Michael Snoddy, who is a musician. Reports accompanying the photograph claimed that her family was worried about her. "These pathetic attempts at slander make these media low-lives seem ignorant and trashy," Jackson wrote on Twitter. "Twisting a pic is one thing. Making it all up? Worse."
A source previously told Radar Online that the Jacksons want to stage an intervention, but they were worried that Paris would take offense and move out of the family home. "Family members like LaToya, Janet and Jermaine are very concerned about the path that Paris is on and they have even discussed staging an intervention … The problem is that everyone is afraid of Paris getting upset and moving out of the family house, especially now that she is financially independent. The whole family agrees that moving out would be the worst possible thing that she could do right now."
Earlier reports also claimed that the Jacksons weren't happy with her new beau Snoddy, as they feel he is a bad influence on her. Earlier this year, she received a lot of backlash when she was photographed smoking a cigarette while underage and she also revealed that she attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
"Katherine and Joe both told her that she is not to smoke any more cigarettes, but she is not listening," a Jackson family insider told Radar Online back in February. "She told them that it is her life and she is going to do what she wants."
"Paris's family are extremely worried about her right now, but they are actually just allowing her to continue smoking right now because they are so afraid of her shutting them out even more," the source added.
