Islamic State (Isis) have released an undated video urging people to terrorise France, after at least 127 people have been killed in Paris. Gunmen and bombers targeted restaurants, the music venue Bataclan, and the Stade de France on 13 November, in a night of terror in the French capital.
Isis has since claimed responsibility for the attacks. In the video, French Isis fighter Abu Salmani said, If you are sincere to Allah in your worship and in your creed and are unable to make Hijra [migrate to Islamic countries], then operate within France. Terrorise them and do not allow them to sleep due to fear and horror.
There are weapons and cars available and targets ready to be hit. Even poison is available, so poison the water and food of at least one of the enemies of Allah. Kill them and spit in their faces and run them over with your cars. Do whatever you are able to do in order to humiliate them, for they deserve only this, he added.
While the video is undated, it was released on 14 November.
It is thought that at least 87 people were killed at the Bataclan music venue, where the 1,500 crowd was taken hostage at a rock concert of Eagles of Death metal. The gunmen executed members of the audience, before blowing themselves up when French special forces closed in.
French President François Hollande has claimed these attacks were an act of war. He said, Faced with war, the country has to take appropriate steps. It is an act of war by a terrorist army, Daesh, an Islamist army, against the values we uphold throughout the world, against who we are, a free country, which speaks to the whole planet.
Hollande also declared three days of state mourning.
