A paratrooper from the Australian Army Parachute Display Team – the Red Berets – suffered leg and pelvic injuries and briefly lost consciousness when he made a hard landing during an aerial display at an Australian rules football match at Sydneys Cricket Ground on 23 April.
The match between the Sydney Swans and West Coast Eagles, held as part of Anzac Day commemorations, was delayed by 10 minutes while paramedics treated the man on the field, according to ABC. He was transported to St Vincents Hospital for evaluation.

The Australian Armys website describes the Red Berets as qualified military freefall paratroopers who demonstrate how paratroopers exit from the aircraft, developing a team formation and landing together with pin-point accuracy with flags flying and smoke billowing. The troop aims to show the military skill and discipline required to operate as a team in a high risk environment.
