Panasonic has launched a new addition to Technics, its line of professional headphones. Called the DJ 1200, the pair of high-end DJ monitors, according to Panasonic, "delivers powerful sound along with free style monitoring."
The headphones are reportedly manufactured in Japan and feature 41mm driver units made of Neodymium magnets. The headphones also have an input capacity of 1500 mW and an output of 106 dB/mW. In simpler terms, the headphones can be really loud.
The Panasonic Technics DJ 1200 headphones also feature a wide sensitivity range, starting at a low 8 Hz to a very high 30 kHz. Humans can hear sounds between 20 Hz and 20 kHz.
The headphones' earpieces are reportedly attached to a swing arm system that gives users the freedom and flexibility to use them in a style that's most comfortable to them. The earpieces, which are set inside a reversible housing, also enable single-side monitoring.

The headphones come with a 2-metre cable out of the box, and the wires are copper-clad aluminium. The headphones plug in to audio devices via a 3.5mm jack that also accepts 6.3mm adaptors. Both the adaptor and the jack are reported to be plated with 24 karat gold.
Priced at Rs. 12,999, the Panasonic Technics DJ 1200 headphones fold up and can be placed inside a carrying pouch that comes with the box. The headphones are reported to be available at Panasonic brand stores across India.
