After launching a slew of lower-mid-range smartphones in India under its Eluga line-up, Panasonic has added another device to its Eluga portfolio: Panasonic Eluga I9. The budget-friendly device is priced at Rs 7,499 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
Having been launched at this price point, Panasonic Eluga I9 will be competing against Xiaomi's latest low-end offerings — the Redmi Y1 Lite and the Redmi 5A.
Panasonic Eluga I9 specifications
The Eluga I9 features a sleek metal unibody design and a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved glass protection on top, adding to the overall look and feel of the phone.
It is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is scope for memory expansion up to 128GB via a microSD card.
On the photography front, the Eluga I9 sports a 13MP autofocus camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. There's a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies with beauty mode and other filters. The Eluga I9 also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that can also be used to click selfies.
Running Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the Eluga I9 comes with Panasonic's ARBO digital assistant pre-installed, which gives recommendations on the things you need to do to help you keep up with your daily routine.
The dual-SIM device comes with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, USB OTG support and is backed by a 2,500mAh battery.
Panasonic Eluga I9 is available in three different colour variants – space grey, champagne gold and blue.
Meanwhile, Panasonic recently launched a low-end smartphone called the Eluga I5 at Rs 6,499, while another model — the Eluga I7 — was spotted at on benchmarking site Geekbench.
