Paloma Monnappa not starring with Dulquer Salmaan in Amal Neerad film

Model Paloma Monnappa made her acting debut in Malayalam opposite young star Dulquer Salmaan in the critically-acclaimed "Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi" in 2013. 

Recently, Paloma had shared a selfie with Dulquer on Instagram with the caption "Re United with #dulquersalman in the studio after 3 years! Something exciting coming up, wait for it [sic]." Soon, reports surfaced stating that the duo will be next seen in Amal Neerad's untitled movie.

However, a source close to Dulquer has clarified to International Business Times, India, that it is a fake news and stated that Paloma, who is currently hosting a travel show for Discovery Channel India, arrived in Kerala to shoot for her show. She is said to have covered few shooting scenes of the Amal Neerad movie for the upcoming episode of the travel show, following which the actress clicked a selfie with Dulquer.

In "Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi," which was a Malayalam thriller road film directed by Sameer Thahir, Paloma was seen in the role of a surfer Ishita, who gets attracted to Dulquer's character Kasi after they met in Puri. Besides this film, Paloma has acted in many commercials and has also been featured on the cover of many fashion magazines.

Meanwhile, the first schedule of the shooting of the upcoming Dulquer-Amal movie has been completed in Kottayam. The team will soon move to the U.S for its second schedule. The movie is expected to hit the screens in October this year. After replacing Anu Emmanuel, newcomer Karthika Muraleedharan, the daughter of cinematographer Muraleedharan CK, will be seen opposite Dulquer in the family entertainer. 

Scripted by Shibin Francis, the untitled film also stars Soubin Shahir, Siddhique and Dileesh Pothan in pivotal roles. It is the production venture of Amal under the banner of Amal Neerad Productions.
