In a shocking incident, Pakistani actress-singer Reshma was allegedly shot dead by her husband in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Geo TV, Reshma and her husband had an argument following which the latter fired multiple shots at the actress.
She was the fourth wife of the accused and was living with her brother at Hakimabad. The accused reportedly entered the house and started firing at her, leaving no chance for her to escape.
The accused is absconding. Reshma was best known for her Pashto songs and had also acted in a Pakistani drama Zhobal Goluna.
Earlier, stage actress Sunbul was also shot dead in February for refusing to go to a private party. According to ANI, Reshma's murder is the 15th incident of violence against female artists in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.
Another such shocking incident had happened in Pakistan two years back when model Qandeel Baloch was killed by her brother.
Although it was initially thought that she was shot dead, her brother later admitted to have strangled her for honour. He had said that he killed his sister for bringing "dishonour to Baloch name". The model used to stay in news for her raunchy pictures and videos on social media.
