India's arch-rivals Pakistan have now spoken about the mother-of-all-clashes taking place on June 4 in Edgbaston, Birmingham, between the two nations.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, the chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stated on Monday, May 8, that the Pakistan team are doing everything possible to come out on the top during the tournament.
To perform at their best against India, is also very much vital for Pakistan, the veteran Pakistani batsman mentioned.
We don't have a great record against India in major events, but every day is a new day and I am sure the players will perform well in the first match.
The June 4 game is very important for us, not only because it is against India, but also because it will go a long way in helping us qualify for the semi-finals.
Our team is quite balanced and has a nice blend of youthful exuberance and experience.
- Inzamam-ul-Haq to the Express Tribune.
