While Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati has been in the news due to several factors -- controversies surrounding the cast and their issues with the script -- even before the film went on floors, the latest buzz is that Shahid Kapoor has threatened Bhansali to walk out of the film if Ranveer Singh doesn't stay in his limits.
While there were reports surrounding ego clashes between Ranveer and Shahid regarding the screen time, the latest buzz is that Ranveer, after demanding a solo poster, has put forth another condition that the first poster of Padmavati should only feature him and his rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone, who will be seen as Padmavati, DNA reported.
This apparently has upset Shahid to such an extent that he has threatened to walk out of the film if Ranveer doesn't stay in his limits. It now remains to be seen if Bhansali manages to sort out the issues or loses Shahid for Ranveer.
Meanwhile, rumour also has it that Padmavati will not hit theatres in 2017. Instead it has been pushed for a 2018 release. Although Padmavati lead actors Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid have allotted a chunk of dates to Bhansali, considering the ace director's eye for detail, it seems unlikely that film will be ready by 2017. If Padmavati hits theatres in 2018, it will clash with Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L Rai's untitled next, the release date of which has already been announced as Christmas 2018. However, the industry source refuted the rumour claiming that Padmavati will release in December 2017.
This will be Deepika and Ranveer's third film with Bhansali after Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
