Ranveer Singh can easily be billed as one of the rising superstars. He has seen stardom very early in his career, and if these rumours are true, it appears all the fame may just have gotten a bit too much for him to handle.
After demanding solo posters, the young actor has put forward another condition, on fulfilment of which he will begin shooting for "Padmavati". Ranveer wants Shahid Kapoor's role cut down, after which he will begin work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project, DNA reported.
However, the filmmaker has chosen not to comply for two reasons. First, Shahid's is an equally important role and isn't a cameo or a guest appearance at all; second, if Sanjay gives in to Ranveer's demands, Shahid may walk out of the film.
"Now, Bhansali has asked Deepika to talk to Ranveer and convince him to start the film. Because the film will not move if Ranveer doesn't come around," the daily quoted the source as saying. However, since the men aren't needed right away, they can afford to work around their demands a little longer.
The first schedule of Padmavati begins with a song shoot, Ghoomar, at one of Mumbai's studios. It is said to be a Rajasthani-style dance routine, for which Deepika will begin prepping.
"Folk dancers from Rajasthan will be flown in for the song. They will be seen alongside Deepika as well as train her. The set at Mehboob studio, where the song will be shot, is almost ready," an insider informed Mumbai Mirror.
"Padmavati" is Ranveer and Deepika's third film with Sanjay after "Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela" and "Bajirao Mastani".
