After the trailer, Padman's first song titled Aaj Se Teri has been released, which stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte. Set to hit the screens on January 26, the R Balki movie also features Sonam Kapoor.
Padman is a movie based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who brought a revolution by introducing a low-cost sanitary napkin machine for rural women, who do not have access to menstrual hygiene products.
In the movie, Akshay plays the lead role and Radhika will play his wife. The first song, Aaj Se Teri, will touch your heart for sure. It shows the beautiful chemistry between Akshay and Radhika's characters. The song will revolve around the couple's wedding.
The song launch held on December 20 and is attended by Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte, R Balki and producer-writer Twinkle Khanna. Sonam Kapoor took to her Twitter handle to say sorry to her fans as she couldn't attend the event.

For those who don't know, producer and Akshay's wife Twinkle had written about Padman aka Arunachalam Muruganantham in a short story titled The Sanitary Man from A Scared Land in her second novel The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad.
Arunachalam, a Padma Shri awardee played a pivotal role in creating awareness about menstrual hygiene in rural India and took upon himself the task of manufacturing cost-effective sanitary pads.
